2014 Infiniti Q50 Gets Five-Star Crash Rating

The 2014 Infiniti Q50 sport sedan has been given top marks in safety from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Both the Q50 3.7 and the Q50 Hybrid model make the cut, though both only received four out of five stars in the frontal crash-test section. For side crashes, the car receives five stars, and NHTSA says that the Q50 has a 9.7 percent chance of rollover.

The Q50 is fit with active safety systems such as forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane departure prevention and active lane control. The car is also the first production vehicle to use steer-by-wire technology.
