Volkswagen Passat Recalled for Headlight Issue

Next time you close the hood on your car, you might want to think twice about letting it slam down.

Volkswagen is recalling 150,201 Passats from model year 2012 and 2013 as closing the hood with too much force, or simply dropping it from high up can cause the low-beam headlight bulb to become disconnected. This will trigger a dashboard warning light, and cause the low-beam lights to stop working.

Volkswagen says there have been no accidents or issues reported as a result of this problem. Dealers will fix the issue free of charge by installing an improved bulb fitting.
