There’s a plug-in hybrid version of Audi’s flagship sedan coming in the near future.

At least that’s the word according to Auto Express. The site reports that Audi is planning to marry its 3.0-liter diesel V6 to its e-tron plug-in hybrid system. The electrified flagship is supposed to be officially revealed in early 2015 before going into production and is supposed to make 368 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque.

That hybrid system is supposed to debut in the A8, but filter down to other large sedans including the A6 along with the Q7 SUV. Electric-only range is supposed to be about 30 miles for the car although there isn’t any word yet on fuel efficiency figures or specific carbon emissions, but Audi R&D boss Ulrich Hackenburg said it will fall under 100 grams of C02 per kilometer.
