The Impala Midnight Edition is offering a slightly sinister twist on Chevrolet‘s full-size American sedan transportation.

Previewed by the Chevrolet Impala Blackout concept at this year’s SEMA Show (seen above), the Impala Midnight Edition will feature blacked-out styling elements according to a recent report from Edmunds. It will likely arrive dealerships this spring if all goes well according to Chevrolet’s Steve Majoras, marketing director for cars and crossovers. Major features of the Impala Midnight Edition will include a blacked-out grille, black bowtie emblem and a restyled steering wheel.

Though the American automaker hasn’t confirmed the rest of the Midnight Edition package, it is expected that it will mirror the SEMA concept with a black rear spoiler, painted mirror caps and 19-inch aluminum wheels. Most of the accessories are available as standalone purchase options so current Impala owners aren’t left completely in the dark.
