Shelby American is celebrating its 50th anniversary by releasing a big-block Cobra for each of those years.

Shelby’s first 50th Anniversary 427 Cobra will cross the Barrett-Jackson auction block in Arizona next month. Customers will be allowed to choose between fiberglass and aluminum bodies that will wear gold badges marking them as part of the commemorative group along with 15-inch Shelby-spec wheels.

The cars will be available in polished aluminum or blue with white stripes, although the fiberglass bodies will only be offered in the latter. Vinyl seats are part of the standard equipment package, although leather is also available. Fiftieth anniversary floor mats will also be special to the cars along with a three-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel specific to the limited edition models.

Fiberglass models will cost $119,995 while the aluminum version will cost $179,995, although neither version includes an engine or transmission.
