The 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed is adding a special category dedicated to drifting.

It marks the first time in the event’s storied history that drifting will be categorized and headlining the event will be Red Bull Athlete “Mad” Mike Whiddett and Monster Energy Athlete Ken Block. Both will return to the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed on all three days of the event with live action in the “Catch my Drift?” category. Last year, Whiddett’s driving at the Goodwood Festival of Speed earned him the “Spirit of the Festival” award and he’ll return with his infamous Mazda RX-7 to the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

For the event, Ken Block will pilot his 850-hp Ford Mustang that has been nicknamed the “Hoonicorn” and will also be joined by fellow Monster Athlete Buttsy Butler with his Toyota Soarer (Lexus SC300).

Joining the two celebrity drivers will be four other drivers from EXTREME Drift Allstars, including James Deane, Piotr Wiecek, Joachim Waargaard and Kuba Pryzgonski. Deane will campaign his Falken Motorsports Nissan S14 200SX while Poland’s Wiecek will put on a show with his 1000-hp R34 Skyline. Meanwhile, Norway’s top drifting car competitor, Waargaard, will be behind the wheel of a BMW M4 while Pryzgonski will be driving a Toyota GT86 (Scion FR-S) at the event.
