2016 Mercedes GLE-Class Pricing to Start From $52,025

Pricing for the 2016 Mercedes GLE-Class has been announced.

The replacement for the M-Class will start from $52,025 including destination. That’s for the base model GLE350 while 4Matic all-wheel drive will cost $2,500 exra. Those looking for a diesel engine can opt for the GLE300d 4Matic that starts from $53,425 while the more powerful GLE400 4Matic is available for $65,525.

Splurging for the first AMG model in the lineup will run $100,875 for the GLE63 AMG while the range-topping GLE63 S AMG will cost $108,825. A plug-in hybrid variant will join the GLE-Class lineup in the future in zero-emission vehicle states only, but Mercedes did not reveal pricing details on the GLE500e 4Matic yet.

Powering the 2016 Mercedes GLE350 is a 302-hp V6 engine with 273 lb-ft of torque, while the GLE400’s turbocharged V6 engine gets 329 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque. The GLE63’s V8 is rated at 550 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque and the GLE 63 S AMG gets even more at 577 hp and 561 lb-ft of torque. The standard GLE models get a seven-speed automatic transmission; AMG models will be outfitted with a seven-speed AMG Speedshift MCT.

As for the GLE300d, power output is 201 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque from the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine.

Expect the 2016 Mercedes GLE-Class to start arriving dealerships in August.
