Lotus has teased its upcoming 3-Eleven by releasing a solitary darkened photo showing little more than its headlights.

This car is a track-focused version of their Exige sports car and a supposed successor to the 2-Eleven. It’s expected to be publicly revealed later this month at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK.

If it follows in the tire tracks of its numerical predecessor the Lotus 3-Eleven will likely be an open-air racing machine with rear-wheel drive and a mid-mounted engine. This car should be a stripped and dedicated monster for track junkies.

Expect a 3.5-liter Toyota V6 to provide motivating force to the tune of 420 horses … or more. Expect this car to dash from a standstill to 60 miles an hour in less than three seconds and have a terminal velocity of at least 180 miles an hour.

Whether or not this car makes its way from jolly old England to the United States is unknown, but it’s estimated to cost around £70,000. In ‘Murican figures that’s around $109,000. Production of this car is expected to be limited to just 311.
