The short list nominees for the 2016 North American Car and Truck of the Year have been announced.

Every year, 57 automotive experts evaluate a whole swath of vehicles to whittle down the pack to just two, the North American car and truck/utility vehicle of the year. Their votes are sent straight to a third part, Deloitte & Touche in Detroit, to be counted.
