The Hyundai Genesis G90 has made an early appearance on the Internet, ahead of its official debut next month.

The Korean automaker recently announced that it will launch the Genesis sub-brand geared towards the luxury market with at least three entries in its lineup: the G70, G80 and G90. The first model being introduced will be the G90, replacing the current Equus. Sporting Hyundai’s new design language called “Athletic Elegance,” the G90 features muscular lines with a hexagonal-shaped grille, new headlights and a new Genesis logo.

The new Hyundai Genesis G90 will ride on a modified version of the rear-wheel-drive platform found under the second-generation Genesis sedan, which will become the G80 model. The sedan is expected to offer a pair of engines, a 3.3-liter turbo V6 and a 5.0-liter naturally-aspirated V8.

Recent spy photos also revealed some off the G90’s interior, highlighted by a sweeping dashboard with a large, widescreen LCD screen. There’s plenty of luxury as is expected with attractive wood grain, perforated leather and satin-finished brushed metals as trim. There’s also a new head-up display, similar to what is found on the BMW 7 Series.

Decent looking car. Will hold off judgement till I see it in person. Now is Genesis set on the alpha names of G70-90? Are they planning coupes with these names same as for convertibles?
