The Fiat 500L used by Pope Francis while he was visiting the U.S. is crossing the auction block.

Pope Francis chose the Fiat 500L as a symbol of his concern for the environment as well as hoping to put aside the impression that his office enjoys expensive items.

The compact 500L will be auctioned off on January 29, according to organizers of last year’s World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia. Proceeds of the sale will benefit the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the car will then go on display at the Philadelphia Auto Show.
