Although the Bentley Bentayga is already the most powerful SUV in production, even more ponies are coming to the high-end luxury model.

Speaking with Auto Express, Bentley CEO Wolfgang Dürheimer confirmed that a Bentayga Speed model is coming, likely to arrive packing at least 650 horsepower.

Under the hood, all 650 hp will still come from a 6.0-liter W12 engine like in the standard model, tuned to increase output. In other Bentley Speed models, horsepower increases range from 25 hp to 66 hp, so a boost of 50 hp is right in the ball park.

These upgrades will surely make the big SUV capable of cracking its current 0 to 60 mph time of 4 seconds.

Pricing for the Speed model will likely increase by about $20,000, taking the price tag to around $250,000.

This shape does grow on you the more times you see it. Just like when the conti was first released ..... To compete with the range rover. Its not really as majestic looking as the rangey. it looks more like all of the generic looking soft roaders - it certainly does look more akin to its stablemate siblings Touareg and Cayenne At least gives another option which can't be sniffed at
