Pricing has been released for the 2017 Subaru BRZ, revealing just a small increase over last year’s model.

The base model 2017 BRZ Premium will sell for a price of $26,315 while the only other trim, Limited, will sell for $28,465 with a manual transmission or $29,565 with an automatic.

Opting for a base Premium model BRZ brings along standard features like a backup camera, Starlink infotainent system and Bluetooth connectivity. Upgrading to the Limited model brings along LED fog lights, keyless entry, Alcantara inserts in the seats and a new 4.2-inch LCD display in between the gauges.

A number of performance upgrades have been installed on the 2017 BRZ which Subaru says makes it an even better handling car. Updated coil springs and dampers have been installed along with a larger rear stabilizer bar. The chassis has been made stiffer while stability control systems have been revised, enough so that Subaru renamed the ‘sport’ setting to ‘track.’ Also standard on all new BRZ models is an aluminum, color matching rear spoiler.

A little bit more power also comes from the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine for 2017, which now makes 205 horsepower and 156 lb-ft of torque. To help get that power to the ground, a lower final drive ratio was also added, improving acceleration on models with the manual transmission.

Subaru is offering a revised performance package for the 2017 BRZ as well, which comes with larger brakes, new shocks and 17-inch aluminum allow wheels. This can be had for $1,195 and is only available on Limited-trim models with a manual transmission.

Finally, customers looking for something special can opt for the BRZ Series.Yellow, though only 500 of these cars will be made. Besides the striking yellow exterior with black badging for contrast, this car gets the performance package, yellow stitching throughout the interior and embroidered BRZ logos inside. It will set you back $30,515.
