Helping add fuel to the fire, Geely previously acquired The London Taxi Company, so it already has a presence in the U.K., which means adding Lotus to its portfolio makes sense. The Chinese automaker also has the finances to help Lotus continue building lightweight sports cars for a niche market, while it gives the Chinese company access to additional new technologies.
