World's First Tuned Lexus LC 500 Debuts

Gordon Ting and Beyond Marketing took charge of building the world’s first tuned Lexus LC 500.

Making its debut at the 2016 SEMA Show, the modified Lexus LC 500 is joined by a stock, pre-production LC500, a GS F, RC F and the RC F GT3 race car. The Lexus LC 500 made its global debut earlier this year at the Detroit Auto Show and Gordon Ting along with Beyond Marketing have already taken it to a whole new level. The exterior of the LC 500 has been transformed thanks to an Artisan Spirit custom aero kit featuring fender flares, front diffuser, side skirts, rear diffuser and rear wing. Along with a Brembo brake upgrade, the LC 500 has a whole new stance courtesy of KW Suspension and 22-inch HRE P101 wheels finished in Satin Charcoal. The interior now features Sparco carbon fiber seats and a race cage by Evasive Motorsport.

The factory engine has also been overhauled and built, increasing the standard 5.0-liter displacement to 5.6. The result is a 525 horsepower engine with 440 pound-feet of torque, a noticeable uprgade from the factory figures of 467 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque.

The other two customized vehicles on display for Lexus come from Clark Ishihara, with both vehicles getting outfitted with carbon fiber bits on the outside. Both the GS F and RC F also benefit from custom air springs with auto leveling system, while the GS F rides nicely on Vossen 20-inch wheels.

This past year, Lexus used the race season to gather data and track experience to further its GT3 race program using the RC F. Next year, the automaker will compete under the 3GT Racing banner with a pair of 2017 Lexus RC F GT3 race cars in the 2017 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship series.
