The Arrinera Hussarya GT might not be a well-known supercar, but that might change as the mid-engine Polish creation is getting ready to go racing.

The supercar from Polish automaker Arrinera made its debut last year and is now set to return to Autosport International to display the car that will make its racing debut in 2017. The Hussarya GT, which is priced at $229,000, is built to FIA specifications and is powered by a 6.0-liter LS series V8 engine with more than 505 horsepower while paired to a six-speed sequential Hewland LLS gearbox with paddle shifters. Braking performance comes courtesy of hardcore Alcon brakes with six-piston monobloc calipers with the suspension coming in the form of Ohlins four-way adjustable dampers.

The 12 months of testing saw former BTCC driver Anthony Reid behind the wheel, contributing his vast experience to the test and development work of the supercar. “I’m very impressed by the Hussarya GT,” he said. “It’s very quick. I’ve tested in the dry and in the wet, most recently at Donington and Snetterton, and it went really well. Because it is mid-engined, it has the kind of handling balance I really like. I’m confident that the work we have done will establish the Hussarya as the strong, safe and fast alternative to used premium-brand racing cars for amateur racing drivers.”

Along with announcing its price, Arrinera confirmed that build slots for 2017 are now on sale and a spares package will be available for an additional $69,000.
