Porsche has released a new teaser sketch of the new 2018 Cayenne ahead of the SUV’s debut on August 29th.

Thanks to Porsche’s teaser campaign for the redesigned SUV, we pretty much already know what the new Cayenne will look like. The front is highlighted by a gaping new grille, while the silhouette and the rear look as though they will remain mostly unchanged. Porsche describes this Cayenne as a “complete redevelopment” from the old model that looks to “further increase the spread between sportiness and comfort.”

The new Cayenne will ride on an updated version of its existing platform and should retain Porsche’s twin-turbocharged V6 and V8 engines. Diesel and plug-in hybrid versions will eventually arrive, but may not be offered immediately from launch. The entire package should be decidedly robust, with Porsche bragging about its 2.7-million mile durability testing program for the SUV that saw it test in extreme temperatures from minus 45 degrees Celsius to plus 50-degrees Celsius.

The new Porsche Cayenne will make its debut at Porsche’s Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen headquarters on August 29th at 9:00 a.m. CEST. The German automaker plans on live streaming the event at this link, so be sure to tune in if you want to be among the first to see the new SUV.
