Tesla has released a second teaser image showing a portion of its new semi truck ahead of its debut on November 16th.

The Tesla semi truck is expected to have a range of 200-300 miles and may even be capable of “platooning” – meaning the trucks could autonomously travel closely to one another in a line down the highway. This offers multiple benefits in that it’s safer and also helps to boost the range of the trucks behind the lead truck due to decreased win resistance. Tesla’s semi truck program is being led by Jerome Guillen, who worked in both Daimler and Freightliner’s long-haul trucking divisions.

The teaser image doesn’t reveal too much we didn’t already know. It show’s Tesla’s futuristic-looking semi with a tall, upright front-end and futuristic headlight signatures. Expect it to look much more aerodynamically streamlined than your typical diesel semi and also feature a more advanced cabin.

The Tesla semi will be revealed in an invite-only event near the Tesla design studio at the Jet Center in Los Angeles later this month. Stay tuned for more information.
