Jon Olsson is a professional skier who is perhaps best known for his revolving collection of insane cars and the Swedish athlete/YouTuber has recently unveiled his most ridiculous creation yet: a Mercedes G500 4×4² with the roof chopped off.

Olsson’s G500 4×4² started out life as a fairly regular model with a fixed roof. Olsson went off-roading in the car and even drove it through waist-deep water, enjoying the massive off-roader exactly how Mercedes envisioned its customers would. Olsson became frustrated that the monster-truck sized SUV couldn’t fit in the small parking garages and Monaco, though, so he devised a plan.

Olsson and his team decided to cut the roof off of the G500 and chop down the windshield, which allowed the G500 to easily nestle its way into Monaco’s tight indoor parking areas. He also had a boat shop create a teak wood decking for the vehicle, which frames the passenger compartment and makes the vehicle look even more at home in ritzy downtown Monaco.

Prior to chopping the roof off, the G500 had its engine tuned to around 800 hp and was fitted with off-road suspension and the beadlock wheels from the Mercedes-AMG 6×6. Quite a crazy creation Olsson has on his hands here, wouldn’t you say?

You can watch as Olsson gives a tour around his chopped G500 in the video embedded below.
