The most famous vehicle from the James Bond film Spectre is obviously the famous spy’s Aston Martin DB10.

But if you ask us, the coolest vehicle from the film is the high-riding Land Rover Defenders that feature in the movie. One of these rare Land Rover-modified Defenders will soon go under the gavel at Bonhams’ upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed auction, presenting a rare opportunity to own the SVX-spec truck.

This Defender SVX was created for the villains of the movie to bomb around the Alpine terrain in. It was put together by Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations division and is one of ten that were built for the film. Considered to be the ultimate versions of the Defender, these vehicles featured Bilstein rally dampers, Recaro race seats with 4-point harnesses, a full rollcage and an upgraded diesel engine making 185 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque.

Bonhams says this particular Defender SVX was actually used in the filming of Spectre, not just for publicity purposes, and retains the mechanical handbrake that was used to help perform some of the stunts seen in the film. It even has marks left on the hood by the stuntmen. The current owner had their choice of any Defender SVX used in the film and chose this one for its provenance, the auction company says.

“Representing a possibly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire one of the most memorable’ Bond’ vehicles of recent times, this imposing Spectre Defender if offered with the owner’s wallet containing the handbook and (blank) service booklet; current MoT certificate; UK V5C document for the most appropriate registration ‘OO07 SVX’; and a framed presentation featuring movie stills, the shooting schedule, and an Austrian licence plate,” the Bonhams listing reads.

Check out the listing here for additional information and photos before the vehicle finds a new home next month.
