Audi has priced the 2012 Audi A6 2.0T for $42,575 . The A6 will come equipped with a front-wheel drive turbocharged direct-injected 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The powerplant will crank out 211-hp and 258 lb-ft of torque and get 33 mpg on the highway.

Audi is planning to rival the Range Rover Evoque with it’s own fastback-styled, sporty version badged as the Q4. Audi will likely launch the Q4 in 2014/2015 and will cost around £30,000 ($47,500).

The next generation Mercedes-Benz B-Class will make its debut at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show in September, however photos have been leaked, and we have them.

Today, the Ford Transit Connect is targeted at taxi and delivery business. The vehicle is reasonably priced, great on gas and is nimble through narrow streets. However, Ford may choose to offer a seven-passenger version for young families that are not interested in bulky minivans. The next-generation Transit Connect arrives in a few years, and will allegedly be assembled in North America as a more refined vehicle. The current Transit Connect is produced in Turkey and the price comes in around $24,000 to $25,000 making it a very competitive alternative to minivans. Both gasoline and electric versions are offered, as well as models with side winds and panels.

Lamborghini and Porsche are allegedly teaming up to build Lambo a 4×4 SUV. Even though the two car brands produce very different sports cars at the opposite end of the spectrum, Porsche has agreed to lend its existing expertise to the Italian automaker to produce a SUV. This is not Lamborghini’s first time building a 4×4 however. The automaker built a series of 4x4s for military use, that were named the Cheetah, the LM001 and the LM002 (aka Rambo Lambo) during the late seventies and  eighties.

BMW is now offering the very rare 2011 Frozen Black Edition M3 Coupe. Like last year’s 15-minute sell out matte-finish M3, only 20 of these will be made, making them very desirable.

The Japanese Earthquake disaster of March 11, 2011, has wreaked havoc all around the world and has affected Volkswagen by interrupting supply of their backup cameras. Consumers that want a rear view camera fitted to their VW may have to wait for shipments to resume.

Fiat, has offered Canadian government $125 million for its 1.7 percent stake in Chrysler. Last week, Fiat made a $500 million offer to the U.S Treasury to buy out the remaining 6 percent stake held in Chrysler, according to Reuters.

BMW announced today that it has been ranked first overall in the inaugural L2 Prestige 100 Facebook IQ. This new index measures the social media aptitude of Presige 100 brands from auto, beauty, fashion, jewelery and watches as well as spirits and champagnes.

The Bavarian automaker currently owns and maintains fifty-four separate Facebook pages associated with its various geographic regions, business segments and products, each of which were assessed for this study. BMW’s main Facebook page also has the most fans of any automaker, approaching the 6 million mark – roughly double its nearest rival.

Within the evaluation, BMW received 175 points topping Audi with 156, Lexus with 154 and Ferrari with 141.

Lotus has plans to improve both the Elise and Evora with a list of 150 items. Improvements are centered around the Evora, and are designed to boost dwindling sales and bridge the styling gap between the current car and the next wave of Lotus’ due 2013.

BMW has filed “M2” and “BMW M2” trademarks recently, indicating the German automaker is considering the badge seriously enough to make moves to protect the use of the name.

Mercedes-Benz officially announced the new Roadster version of the SLS AMG sports car three days ago. Mercedes-Benz has also just released a one minute video detailing the highlights of the roadster that can be watched below.

The AMG Roadster will be powered by the same 6.2-liter V8 that the ‘regular’ SLS producing 563-hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. The soft-top can be raised or lowered in 11 seconds at speeds of up to 50 km/h (31mph).

The 235-hp GTI Edition 35 can be ordered now, and the 440-hp all-drive VW Motorsport Golf24 will compete in this year’s 24-hour race at the Nürburgring (23 to 26 June).

The Romanian racing company Dacia famous for winter racing has joined Renaultsport, and a number of independent firms to build the Dacia Duster. The “No Limit” race car driven by Jean-Phillipe Dayraut was built for the Unlimited class at Pikes Peak.
