McLaren has promised one new model each year and while there are plenty of rumors as to what will arrive in 2015, we can confirm it won’t use hybrid power.

When the next-generation Toyota Prius arrives it will come equipped with the company’s latest and greatest hybrid powertrain and ride atop an all new platform, but the most dramatic change might just be the way it looks.

Bentley’s yet-unnamed SUV will be on sale in 2016 and not long after it materializes in a gated community near you, there will also be a plug-in hybrid variant. 

The Mazda 3 hybrid will make its official public debut at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, and it won’t be the only Mazda3 variant being unveiled.

Last week in Michigan, we had opportunity to sample Toyota’s European and UK-market Auris Hybrid, and came away impressed with its driving dynamics, aesthetics, and functionality, not to mention a compelling spec sheet.

Ferrari Chairman Luca di Montezemolo has been a vocal opponent of electric cars, but when it comes to hybrids he’s championing the technology, announcing that more gasoline-electric models will join the brand’s exotic stable.

For many folks hybrid vehicles have a negative aura about them. Some of that is the fault of poorly executed models over the past two decades, and some is due to the most successful, and arguably best engineered hybrid, the Toyota Prius.
