Close on a year after first reports that Aston Martin would bring its V12 Vantage super sports car to North America, the regal British automaker has confirmed as much. Originally slated for the European market, Aston Martin has said that due to overwhelming demand, it has decide to offer the car in not only North America, but also South America. Currently Aston sells the V8 Vantage in North America as the brand’s entry-level sports car. Powered by a 4.7-liter V8 it makes 420-hp.

As the name suggests, the V12 Vantage gets the company’s big twelve cylinder engine. In fact, it’s the same powerplant found in the DB9 and the company’s flagship DBS model. It produces 510-hp and 420 ft-lbs of torque for a 0-62 mph time of 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph. The car also gets a long list of light-weight components to ensure the weight gain from the massive V12 is just 110 lbs.

Aston Martin has said the V12 Vantage is available for order now with deliveries starting in the fourth quarter of this year.
