After placing in the top 10 only once this season, Travis Pastrana was finally able to secure his first Global RallyCross victory, also marking the first win for a Dodge Dart in the series.

Pastrana qualified to start in third, putting him near the front of the pack at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The drivers were met with the most obstacles this season at New Hampshire, facing chicane’s, moguls, dirt, a tabletop jump, a 180-degree hairpin turn and a 70-foot gap jump. In the end, Pastrana came in 1.431-second faster than second place finisher Samuel Hubinette.

“It’s been so long, I almost forgot what it’s like to win,” said Pastrana. “It is absolutely awesome to get out here and get on top. It has been a rough season.”

The Dodge Dart race car is outfitted with a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, which the company claims is capable of making 600 hp and 550 lb-ft of torque. “I feel like we had the best car, we have a great crew and we finally showed where this Dodge Dart should be – Victory Lane,” said Pastrana, commenting on the fact that this is the Dodge Dart’s first win in competitive racing.

“I know it’s only our fourth race in this brand-new car which actually, if you think about it, it’s amazing to be on top of the podium.”
