Ford C-Max Outsells Toyota Prius V, Plug-in Prius in November

The Ford C-Max Hybrid and C-Max Energi plug-in hybrid combined for more sales in November than the Toyota Prius plug-in and Prius v models.

November was the first full month that both C-Max hybrid models were available for sale with a total of 4,848 units being sold. The Toyota Prius plug-in and v on the other hand moved 4,456 units. The C-Max sales also helped the American automaker achieve its best hybrid sales month yet with a total of 6,985 hybrid vehicles delivered to customers.

Both C-Max hybrid models have also been named the Official Cars of the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show, which is the world’s largest annual innovation event.

“The amount of interest in C-Max has been outstanding,” says Dan Theroux, general manager of Los Angeles-based Airport Marina Ford. “We are getting more and more questions about C-Max every day – including from quite a few Prius owners.”
