Lexus IS F Race Cars Bought by Aussie Dealership
With whacky choices like the Holden Commodore Maloo available, it might take more than a powerful V8 to catch an Australian customer’s attention.
At least that seems to be what one Downunder dealer was thinking. Lexus of Brisbane bought three IS F-based race cars for demonstration events and customer experiences. At least that was the plan initially. Now, the dealer syas it is also considering using the cars to race as well.

There’s the same 4.7-liter TRD-powered engine under the hood as was used in several Daytona prototype race cars used in the U.S., which means they offer about 600 hp.

Kool....yes please. Lexus to take on Ford, GM, Nissan, and MB in V8 Supercars...just how it should be. Would have been easier just to let the V8 Superstars series to race in Australia with the V8 Supercars.
