The new generation of MINI Cooper won’t hit dealers until March, 2014, but the car will be revealed to dealers at a worldwide association meeting next week.

The new MINI is going to be built on an all-new platform that will underpin at least ten other BMW and MINI models. Based on spy photos of the car, it will also get all-new sheet metal culminating in a more aggressive look.

MINI just introduced the last model to be built on the current platform, the two-door Paceman, which AutoGuide.com recently had a chance to test. It will be the only new vehicle launch for the brand in 2013. Despite that, the VP of MINI USA Jim McDowell says that the brand will set sales records in 2013.

Helping this planned growth is a larger marketing budget which is supposed to increase 30 percent compared to last year.

Watch for details to leak out from the event next week as they often do.
