The driver behind the wheel of the record-setting Nurburgring run with the Porsche 918 Spyder claims that the vehicle can go even faster on the world famous track.

After turning in a 6:57 lap at the Nurburgring, shattering the previous production car record set by the Dodge Viper ACR, driver Marc Lieb revealed that the supercar could have gone even faster. According to Lieb, “there is more potential in the car,” especially since the lap was done on street-legal tires designed in part to improve the fuel economy of the 918 Spyder.
