The Lamborghini Cabrera prototypes have shed their all-black camouflage and now sport the stripes and swirls spy photo stage.

The Cabrera will be replacing the Lamborghini Gallardo, which is now a decade old. Previous reports have the Cabrera making around 600 hp with all of it being brought to the wheels through a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission.

The power is expected to be delivered through the same 5.2-liter V10 currently found in the Gallardo, but clearly upgraded for the next-generation sports car. It will also go on an extreme diet thanks to a liberal use of carbon fiber and aluminum with the expected curb weight to drop to 2,865 lbs in rear-wheel drive form.
