Mercedes-Benz will finally offer he B-Class family car to American customers in the summer of 2014, albeit with an electric drive train.

A batch of spy photos show us that the quirky-looking hatch could be undergoing a facelift to look more premium and in line with the rest of the Mercedes lineup.

While it isn’t clear exactly when this face-lifted B-Class will arrive in North America, these spy photos hint at a vehicle that sports details similar to the CLA-Class. The headlights, grille and tail lights are all covered in camouflage, and we can easily imagine that the new headlight design will be inspired by the CLA’s.

Around back the tail-lights extend and wrap around the vehicle, much like the CLA and upcoming C-Class. Finally, this prototype B-Class is exhibiting some nicely integrated exhaust exits, which hints that this very likely isn’t the electric powered model that we’ll see in North America.
