Google has quietly shuttered its car shopping service, saying that it is focused on building the next version of its “experience for car-related searches.”

The website was still in beta form and was offered to San Francisco Bay Area shoppers. It was originally launched in mid-2012 to generate leads for car dealerships. The service exclusively listed new cars that allowed shoppers to sort by make, model, trim, year, engine, transmission, seats, body, exterior and interior colors and more. It also displayed detailed information on car prices and of course a link to contact a local dealership to continue shopping.

Google says more news will be coming soon.
