Formula E Heads to Long Beach in 2015

Yet another motorsports event will be taking place on the streets of Long Beach next year.

The Long Beach ePrix has been added to the FIA Formula E Championship’s schedule and will be round seven of its inaugural season. The event will take place on April 4, 2015 and will form one of 10 races taking place in city centers across the globe. In addition, the Long Beach ePrix will be one of two races that form part of the championship’s Legacy Program, which gives free access to fans with a focus on attracting students to promote a new generation of motorsports enthusiasts.

Considered one of the most iconic city tracks in the world, Long Beach has hosted a plethora of events dating back to 1975. In fact, the Long Beach street circuit is the longest running in the U.S. The Formula E race cars will be competing on a modified configuration of the regular IndyCar circuit.
