General Motors is recalling 51,640 of its three-row crossovers spread across the Chevrolet, GMC and Buick brands because of inaccurate fuel gauges.

Traverses, Enclaves and Acadias built between March 26, 2013, and August 15, 2013 may have inaccurate fuel gauges, which could lead to the affected vehicles unexpectedly running out of fuel. Owners with affected vehicles will be notified by General Motors and asked to bring their crossovers in for service at a dealer.

The dealer service department will reprogram the engine control module so delivers an accurate reading. Owners with additional questions can contact GM by calling (800) 521-7300, Chevrolet at (800) 222-1020 and GMC at (800) 462-8782.
