Hyundai is set to reveal its new in-car infotainment setup at the upcoming 2015 Consumer Electronics Show with some big changes.

The new system, known as Display Audio, will forgo navigation along with a CD player, instead relying on smartphone integration thanks to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Both of the systems allow users to access the navigation functions from their phone along with music streaming services.

Once a phone is hooked up through a USB port, a seven-inch touchscreen can be used to control many of the phone’s systems and apps. These include making phone calls, sending text messages, getting directions and using music streaming services like Pandora and Spotify.

“Hyundai will offer more technology than ever before inside affordable Hyundai models, allowing owners not only to text message through voice commands and stream their favorite music apps, but also to make calls in a safer way, and navigate using phone-based, off-board navigation through the car’s screen and controls,” said Cason Grover, senior group manager, cross-carline planning, Hyundai Motors America.

The new Display Audio system is expected to arrive in select new Hyundai vehicles by 2016.
