Airbag issues are becoming the norm for today’s car recalls.

The 2014-2015 Jeep Cherokee is being recalled after a small number of airbags inadvertently deployed, causing drivers to execute extreme maneuvers, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles announced. According to the American automaker, a total of 228,181 Cherokees are affected by the recall with 168,092 being in the U.S. “These maneuvers dramatically changed the vehicles’ angle of operation relative to the ground,” FCA US said in a statement. “The airbag systems, sensing potential rollovers, automatically activated.”

No accidents or injuries related to the recall have been reported and dealerships will upgrade the software managing the side curtain and seat-mounted side airbags. Affected owners will be notified of the recall, which follows an investigation conducted by FCA US engineers.
