Furious 7 is China's Biggest Movie Ever

Furious 7 is setting records worldwide.

The latest entry in The Fast and the Furious franchise has become China’s top-grossing film of all time, bringing in a total of $323 billion and beating out the record previously set by Transformers: Age of Extinction at $319 million. That also means that the movie has grossed more in China than it did in the U.S., where it earned $320 million in the same time period.

Furious 7 arrived theaters on April 3 and became the fastest live-action film to bring in more than $1 billion worldwide and was the first April film to make over $100 million in its opening weekend in the U.S. As of last weekend, the worldwide total hit $1.32 billion and brought in another $17.8 million in the U.S. last weekend.
