Volkswagen is launching an app for the Apple Watch.

Known as Car-Net, users will be able to control a host of features on their car using the app. For example, using Car-Net, users can lock and unlock their doors remotely along with viewing the status (open or closed) of the windows and sun roof. For those that can’t find their car, the app will offer a map with walking directions back to the owner’s VW.

Using Car-Net, the vehicle owner can monitor others driving their car thanks to notifications that are sent to the Apple Watch when certain speeds or physical boundaries are crossed. Gas, diesel and electricity levels will also be available through the app, depending on which Volkswagen you drive.

The Volkswagen Apple Watch app will be available on select trim levels of the 2014 and later Beetle, CC, Eos, Jetta, Passat and Tiguan models, while all trims of the 2015 and later Golf, Golf GTI, Golf R, Golf SportWagen and e-Golf models will be available with Car-Net.

Volkswagen also has plans to launch both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in its vehicles.
