Tag Heuer has created a special-edition timepiece to celebrate the Nissan GT-R LM NISMO Le Mans entry.

The Tag Heuer Carrera NISMO watch features an ultralight black-titanium case with a 43-mm diameter. It’s augmented with soft-touch matte alligator straps embellished with red top-stitching. The dial itself is made from titanium that has been micro-blasted with titanium carbide. Overall it’s extremely resiliant and lighter than steel. Equipped with Tag Heuer’s famous caliber 16 movement, the Carrera NISMO watch has a scratch-proof ceramic bezel and a tachometer for measuring average speed. Naturally, the red-and-black theme is seen on the face of the watch as well as the NISMO logos that adorn the dial and bezel.

The timepiece is water resistant to 100 meters and has a domed sapphire crystal that’s dressed with an anti-reflective coating on both sides. On the back of the watch is a Nissan NISMO decal, rounding off this special-edition Tag Heuer Carrera timepiece.

“We want innovation, audacity and courage to return to the Le Mans course,” said Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of TAG Heuer and Chairman of the Watch Division of LVMH group. “Nissan NISMO is the perfect challenger, a pioneer when it comes to the technology in their cars, and also particularly in the way they communicate with young people using their massive social media presence. Just take a look at this car. It’s powerful, different and breaks the mold. It’s the perfect embodiment of our #DontCrackUnderPressure campaign.”
