Acura's Latest Ad Puts a Spin on Crash Test Dummies
Acura has put a spin on traditional crash test dummies in its latest ad.
The commercial, which focuses on safety, shows a technician getting ready to conduct a crash test. But instead of putting crash test dummies into the vehicle, the technician carefully picks up and buckles in a family of human beings. Obviously, Acura doesn’t conduct crash tests using human beings in the real world, but the sentiment is poignant.
Acura’s current models have excelled in crash tests with the 2016 ILX, 2015 TLX, 2015-2016 RLX, 2015-2016 MDX and 2016 RDX all being awarded the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) Top Safety Pick+. Every 2016 model year Acura vehicle that has been tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) have a five-star safety rating including the ILX, MDX, RDX, RLX and TLX.
