Lexus has confirmed that it will field all-new RC F GT3 race cars in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Champsionship next year.

Drivers Scott Pruett and Sage Karam have been confirmed to be the drivers for the newly-renamed 3GT Racing. The team was previously known as F Performance Racing and initially planned on debuting mid-season this year with an interim development chassis. The program however got delayed until next year, so that Toyota Technocraft in Japan could develop an all-new RC F GT3 race car.

The new car recently completed the FIA Balance of Performance test in Ladoux and will likely begin its extensive testing and development program in the U.S. in the coming weeks.
