Rolls-Royce Dawn Gets Fancy New Roof Options

Rolls-Royce has rolled out its “spring/summer 2017 Couture collection,” complete with range of vibrant colors for its Dawn convertible.

Mugello Red, Cobalto Blue and Mandarin are the three colors available for the folding roof, while the car is offered only in white. The flashy colors are also featured on the interior in subtle accents over top of the Arctic white and black interior color scheme.

The car was put together by some of the worlds top fashion designers, including textile specialist Cherica Haye, leather technologist Michelle Lusby and design direction Giles Taylor. “Our clients are the very arbiters of fashion, tastemakers who sit in the front row of the Couture shows, themselves influencing evolving trends,” comments Giles Taylor, director of design for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

Rolls-Royce points out that it takes nine days alone to lacquer to dashboard, while a bespoke clock is fitted in the dashboard, inspired by the metallic fabrics seen on fashion catwalks this year.

This interested in one of these high-fashion car will be able to commission one starting in November of this year.
