Infiniti continued its trend of beautiful concepts at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show.

Previewing the luxury Japanese automaker’s upcoming mid-sized crossover, the Infiniti QX50 Concept bowed in Detroit with a stylish body. The latest concept is an evolution of the QX Sport Inspiration that debuted last year, which means this one will more closely resemble the eventual production model. What’s most exciting is that the QX50 will likely be Infiniti’s first model to benefit from the company’s variable compression turbocharged engine, which is a world first. The 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine will automatically adapt to different driving conditions to offer optimized power and efficiency.

Inside the cabin, there’s plenty of luxury with a fashionable interior that is spacious. The automaker promises it will offer generous cargo capacity. For the concept, Infiniti covered the seats with luscious white leather while the door panels feature a quilting pattern sewn into them. Overall, the interior looks modern and inviting and you can expect it to pack plenty of high-tech features, including autonomous driving technology.

Look for the next-generation Infiniti QX50 to debut in production form sometime early next year.
