Orange you glad you want a Mustang?

As Ford gears up to launch the reworked 2018 Ford Mustang it has teamed up with L.A.-based Coolhaus Ice Cream to launch a new flavor of artisanal ice cream sandwiches.

Called Orange Fury, the zesty orange flavored ice cream sandwiches are a homage to the Mustang’s new Orange Fury exterior paint which will be available this coming fall.

According to The Detroit Free Press, the ice cream is, “between two Vanilla Whoopies, covered in orange icing and an edible wrapper made from potato wafer paper with edible ink.”

The sandwich will debut Friday Coolhaus’ flagship shop in Los Angeles, along with various locations in New York City from roving Coolhaus ice cream trucks outfitted with Mustang decals. The sandwiches will be free until National Ice Cream Day on Sunday, but it’s unclear if the special flavor will continue past the weekend.

Ironically, the Mustang-inspired ice cream won’t be making its way to Michigan…
