Semi-Finalists for 2018 North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year Revealed
The semi-finalists for the 2018 North American Car and Truck of the Year (NACTOY) Awards have been revealed.
To be eligible, a car must be entirely new or substantially changed for the 2018 model year, meaning refreshed vehicles or new variants of existing vehicles are not eligible for the award. Some vehicles will be released to the public too late for the voting process and will be considered for the award next year (the Tesla Model 3, for example).
AutoGuide.com’s Editor-in-Chief Jodi Lai is pleased to be one of 60 jury members this year who will be voting for the 2018 North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year winner. Jurors will vote based on overall excellence, innovation, design, value, significance, performance, technology, and safety. The finalists will be announced at the L.A. Auto Show this November and the winners will be revealed at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2018.
