Biggest Drop in Sales

Kia Sedona

The Kia Sedona in its third generation went through a massive revamp that transformed the minivan into a competent and attractive product. Still, it lacks that all important flair competitors such as the Honda Odyssey and Chrysler Pacifica possess. Total year-end sales to date for this car logged at 22,486 which is a 46.8 percent drop from last year’s total sales.

Fiat 500L

Maybe it’s the unique segment or just another obscure reason we can’t put our finger on, but the 500L is not setting sales charts on fire. Total year-end sales to date are 1553, a 48.5 percent decline from 2016’s year-end sales.

Lexus GS

Lexus’s midsize luxury workhorse keeps on trucking for another year but consumer interest looks to be waning. Total sales for the year-to-date stand at 6857, a 49.4 percent decline from 2016’s figures.

Hyundai Veloster

This is not an indication of the Veloster’s quality or ability to be fun to drive. It just finds itself in a hot segment with much more dynamically talented performers such as the Mini Cooper and VW Beetle. Consumers have made their choice and total year-end sales to date stand at 11,903, which is a 56.5 percent drop from 2016.

BMW i8

The sci-fi looking i8 managed to grab just 408 customers for the year so far, which is a huge slide of 51.2 percent from 2016’s figures of 1461 total units sold. That represents the biggest sales drop for any car in production in the U.S. last year.

Best Sellers

Nissan Rogue

Nissan shows a strong front with the Rogue crossover. The popular model netted year-to-date sales figures of 363,293 so far which is impressively higher than 2016’s 289,427 total units sold.

Toyota RAV4

Toyota is currently responsible for making the best-selling crossover in the U.S. A year-to-date so far sales figure of 375,052 puts it right at the top of the SUV pack.

Ram Pickup

Ram sales clocked in at 455,816 for the whole year to date.

Chevrolet Silverado

Yet another pickup truck can boast of solid sales this year. The Silverado ran off with 518,188 total sales for the year so far.

Ford F-Series

Reigning as the best selling vehicle in America for a significant time now, the F-Series continued its reign with an 807,379 sales total so far, which is very impressive because it is a huge jump from the already massive 733,287 total sales from 2016.
