Porsche Panamera Recalled, Stop Sale Issued

Porsche USA has issued the recall of about 715 2017-2018 Panameras and ordered a stop sale on the luxury models.

The German automaker says the connecting links on the Panamera’s rear anti-roll bar may not be up to par. If not serviced, the roll bar poses a risk of becoming detached. If this were to happen, the loose roll bar could cause further damage to the surrounding suspension components and reduce the vehicle’s handling capability.

About 715 vehicles, all either 2017 or 2018 model year Panameras, are affected. All of them are located in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. No accidents or injuries have been linked to the problem as of this writing.

Owners of the affected vehicles will be notified of the recall by mail and asked to bring their vehicle into an authorized Porsche dealer. The service centers there will replace the connecting links with stronger ones at no cost to the owner.

Panamera owners may want to use the automaker’s recall lookup site, which can be found at this link, to search for any open recalls on their vehicle.
