Renault has upped the bar in the European sport compact market with a special edition Megane RS, sporting 261-hp and 265 ft-lbs of torque. In addition to the slight performance increase, the Megane RS Trophy features several aesthetic changes including 19-inch wheels and special decals.

One of the Megane RS Trophy’s selling points is the fact that it still maintains an impressive 34.4-mpg (European cycle) despite having 261-hp. The turbocharged 2.0L receives a boost upgrade from the standard Megane RS along with a different air intake design.

On the outside, the special edition Trophy sports a black roof, special decals, a new rear spoiler and gloss black 19-inch wheels. The RS Trophy will be available in a variety of colors including Sirius Yellow, Glacier White, Etoile Black and Cassiopee Grey. The RS Trophy will make its official debut on June 17th at the Renault Sport Day at the Nurburgring in Germany and will be available for order shortly after on June 20th. It’ll sport a starting price that roughly translates to $51,000.
