This is not the first time we have seen the FT-86 Open Concept, but Toyota has given the car a new red paint job and has finally released a photo of the car with the top closed before it debuts at the Tokyo Auto Show.

The FT-86 Open Concept previews what we will see when the Toyota GT86, known as the Scion FR-S in North America, finally loses its fixed roof. This updated concept also features some new interior appointments with red and white accents dotting the insides of the car.

The car also gets gray door handles, mirror caps and cloth roof to contrast the Flash Red paint job.

Word on when the car will be seen in production form has not come yet, with some reports saying that the FR-S convertible has been put on hold.
