Aston Martin Vantage Spied With Leaves in Its Grille

The folks at Aston Martin are hard at work on their next generation Vantage sports car. Through back-door dealings and international subterfuge we managed to snag a passel of spy photos proving this point.

The car can be seen getting a thorough workout on the race track. Dressed in black it looks as striking as ever, if perhaps a little too much like Darth Vader. Oh well, engineering mules aren’t supposed to be pretty.

If you look closely you’ll notice fender extensions have been applied to the body, giving it a wider, meaner stance. Hopefully they attached these pieces with more than just hot glue. It’s possible these bulging components are there to disguise Mercedes AMG drivetrain components, which Aston Martin is rumored to be switching to in the future.

Regrettably the car’s managed to get some leaves stuck in its grille and consequently looks like someone that’s devoured a bag of Oreos and never bothered to brush or floss.

Still, the pictures speak for themselves. What do you think of this exotic performance machine? What else can be gleaned from the provided spy shots? Let us know in the comments below.
