There’s a lot of new technology inside the 2016 Toyota Tacoma, but what’s it like to use?

We put five first- and second-generation Tacoma owners behind the wheel of new 2016 TRD Off-Road and Limited models to test out the many features of the new truck and give us their feedback.

All members of our CustomTacos.com forum, they had a chance to test out everything from the new touch-screen and apps, to the available Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) and Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charging, to the available 7-speaker Entune™ Premium JBL® Audio system and the factory-installed GoPro® mount on the windshield.

Watch episode four of our Talking Tacos series above to see what they had to say about these features and more.

BSM Disclaimer: Do not rely exclusively on the Blind Spot Monitor. Always look over your shoulder and use your turn signal. There are several limitations to the function, detection, range and clarity of the monitor. For a complete list of limitations and directions regarding use of the monitor, please see the Owner’s Manual.

Qi-compatible wireless smartphone disclaimer: Qi wireless charging may not be compatible with all mobile phones, MP3/WMA players and like models. When using the wireless charging system, avoid placing metal objects between the wireless charger and the mobile device when charging is active. Doing so may cause metal objects to become hot and could cause burns. To prevent damage to devices, do not leave the devices in the vehicle. Temperature inside may become high, resulting in damage to the device.

GoPro disclaimer: GoPro® mount on the windshield is to be used with GoPro HERO cameras. GoPro® camera not included. GoPro, HERO, the GoPro logo, and the GoPro Be a Hero logo are trademarks or registered trademarks of GoPro, Inc.
